This is my first tattoo, a tribute to Lily Munster, done by Andy at Death or Glory Tattoo in Dallas, Texas. Growing up, Lily was my idol- proof that it is possible to be spooky and beautiful. ♥

This is my second piece. It was impulsive, but it relates a lot to things that are happening in my life right now. The tea cup and daisy are in honor of my great grandma Daisy, who is still kicking at 96, but I want a little bit of her to always be with me.

In the steam is the NEDA (National Eating Disorder Awareness) Symbol. A symbol for recovery in the ED world, and thats something that I’m starting to work towards. After 5 years my family found out about my ed, and things are changing now, so its a positive reminder to keep going and “take care”. Take Care, I chose because its been the only phrase that’s made me doublethink. People can tell me I look sickly or too skinny, but take care gets me every time.

This is a Tattoo i had done at Tattoo jam 2012 by the talented Tanane Whitfield

Swahili symbol for “Hakuna Matata”.

I got this as a matching tattoo on my wrist with my mom and grandma. It means a lot to me, since I have struggled with anxiety disorder for most of my life, this tattoo is a constant reminder to worry less as well as a reminder of the bond I share with my mother and grandmother.

My 3-D Mudflap Man, his beautiful fat-trucker-bod is on my upper arm, and he is glorious. I got this because I wanted something silly, but not totally inappropriate, and this one does poke fun at our society, which I am very much okay with.

By Galen @ Freaks and Geeks Tattoo Sideshow in Asheville, NC. Galen was awesome, and was pretty patient with my husband who got his first tattoo that day too. I would definitely recommend Galen to anyone.

Mine and my girlfriends matching tattoos (Im on the right). I drew and designed it. Peacock feathers represent pride and beauty so I tweaked it to represent the pride and beauty in being gay and added our initials to dedicate it to our long lasting relationship.

It was done by Earl Nixon at Born to Lose Tattoos in Modesto, Ca. He was very relaxing, easy going, and sanitary!
