This is my owl tattoo done by the wonderful Scott Carlton at Stiehl’s Body Modification in Ithaca, NY.
One of my earliest and fondest memories of growing up in an abusive childhood was going to the Syracuse Zoo and looking at the snowy owls. It just made me so happy to see them peacefully sleeping. This tattoo will always remind me that there is hope in bad times.
